Kintsugi Hope

Join us on a 12 week journey as we explore how to maintain positive mental and emotional wellbeing in the midst of our busy lives.
Kintsugi is the Japanese word for golden glue and has become a fashionable alternative to repairing broken ceramics. The golden glue makes a feature of the damage to the ceramic and every item repaired in this way is unique.
In some ways our lives can be like broken ceramics - life throws various challenges at each one of us and we can be scarred through the process.
The aim of the course is to understand that beauty can come out of the challenges we have faced and scars that we carry around with us.
Oakes Baptist Church will be running a Kintsugi Hope Group of up to 8 participants (along with leaders), which is a safe and supportive space for anyone who feels or has felt overwhelmed, giving you tools for self-management.
The course, will start on Monday 14th September 2026 and will run for 12 weeks. Sessions will run for approximately 90 minutes each week.
Registration is free, but you will need to book your place. Please contact John Tomlinson on 07410 254280 or at info@oakesbaptist.org.uk
